For Each His Own is an expressive, electronic and rock piece I wrote exploring some sampled guitar sounds. The piece plays heavily on inner tensions born between repeated samples at a bpm ever so slightly out of sync with the project's tempo. The phasing that would normally be a progressive feature of a minimalist piece on this style is itself constantly being reset by the retriggering of the samples.
I chose to photograph droplets on webs to illustrate this piece; I think the clinging-till-they-fall droplets demonstrate well the type of tension I was trying to explore in this piece.
